Graduate Student Council

Travel Grants

GSC is pleased to offer a growing number of travel grants to UF students. These reimbursement-based grants may be used to cover travel-related expenses for presenting research or participating in professional development at a professional conference. Reimbursement may cover conference registration, transportation, and lodging, but not food, entertainment, or purchases made on department Pcards.  Grants are provided to half-fund travel, so your expenses must be twice as much as the amount requested.  The maximum grant is $250.  If you are receiving money from another UF source that is NOT an SG source, you must take it upon yourself to coordinate your effort through UF Travel.

The application is an online form.  Once you launch the form, you will not be able to save, so please be prepared to complete your entire application in one sitting.  You will be asked for the information listed below, which you may want to prepare separately in a text document to copy/paste into the form.  You can also view Sample GSC Travel Grant Application.

Deadline for application is the last day of the month two full months prior to the first day of travel.

Please note that Grant awardees are no longer required to present at a UF GSC conference.
